2GETHER is a series of interrelated short plays inspired by a love note found on the NYC subway. Eight playwrights—Jenny Lyn Bader, Brooke Berman, Barbara Blumenthal-Ehrlich, Steven Fechter, Jennifer Gibbs, J. Holtham, Kevin Quinn and Daniel Talbott—and two composers—Simon Gray and Ben Morss--create possible stories, explanations and consequences of this piece of found text.

An exploration of forbidden love across five boroughs, 2GETHER touches on themes of romance, race, class, sexual orientation, secrecy and the interconnectedness of urban life. The result—a love letter, not just between two teens, but between all the diverse voices of our city.

Two staged readings of this exciting and unique series 2GETHER is part of Six Figures' Artists of Tomorrow Festival on April 30 at 7:30 pm and May 3 at 2 pm.

On November 13, 2002 Suzan-Lori Parks got an idea to write a play a day for a year. She began that very day, finishing one year later. The resulting play cycle, called 365 Days/365Plays, is a daily meditation on an artistic life. Some plays are very short, less than a page. Others last forever.

When one night of terror and destruction changes the community forever, a legacy of both shame and triumph is created that will affect generations to come. False Creeds examines the anatomy of a catastrophe and the survival instincts it can inspire.

This Kendeda Graduate Playwriting Competition 2006 winner portrays the U.S. dream and its disillusion. It’s a Western, an historical drama, and an exposé of a forgotten and covered up episode in U.S. history. It’s also a deeply personal journey for an African-American young man in search of his roots, and the story of a young girl forced into adulthood by tragedy.
